My dear Katrina,
I am in my office waiting for the Stock Exchange to open and I am dreaming of you...

I remember our acquaintance at the Empire State Building last March- I was on a rush for a business appointment, when you came up to me telling me that you got lost. For me, it was love at first sight. The following two months we spent together were unforgettable. I am so glad we got married before your flight to Los Angeles!

How is your life in LA? Take care of yourself. Don't work too hard. You know you can count on me and if you are in need of extra money, do not hesitate to ask me.

I feel so lonely and I miss you so much! I'm sure you have the same emotions as I do. I am looking forward to see you as soon as you complete your obligations.

With all my love,

Yours,

Alan

Dear Alan,
Los Angeles is fantastic! You can't imagine how many celebrities I've met since I've been here.

I've been in too many auditions, and last week I signed my first contract. Very soon you'll see me on the screen. I'm sure I'll become a star- an actress known all over the world!

I don't know if I can come to New York this year as I am very busy. In the meantime, I desperately need some money as I've spent almost everything you've given me to buy a luxury house.

Love,

Katrina

Dear Katrina,
I've been waiting for your letter and it was a surprise for me to receive it after such a long time. But my astonishment was greater to see how much you have changed!

Where is that modest person, the sensible girl I first met in New York? That sweet little face was always in my mind... The girl who hated alcohol and cigarettes...
If you didn't tell me that the person on the photo were you, I wouldn't have recognised you.
I'm so disappointed! I always thought of you as the prefect woman to be my wife and I gave you everything you've asked for- but you don't deserve it.

My lawyer will send you the papers for the divorce and please, don't contact with me again.

Good luck to you.

Alan.

Dear Allan,
Our divorce should be ready by now.

I'm sending you this note just to let you know that eventhough you are a marvellous person and I thank you for all the support you gave me, I never meant to get married and sacrifice my career. I admit that we had a great time together in New York, but for me it was the starting point to fulfil my dream- get the financial support and fly to LA to become famous. And I succeeded.

I'm sure you can find another lady who can be the best wife and the best mother for your children. You deserve it.

Look after yourself and thank you.

Katrina.

Short Story

The Russian ''Job''

“Are you ready?” asked Natasha.
“I think so” Ivan said.
Everything was ready to begin. Natasha and Ivan got in the van and drove to the place. The whole town was asleep, and they were ready for the “job”. They've been waiting for this moment since years. It was time for the man who killed their son to pay.

The memories still haunted their minds, even though so many years have passed. They couldn't forget how horrible their son's death was, and it was all Polonsky's and his gang's fault. The poor baby was an innocent victim, that got killed because of his parents having open “affairs” with Polonsky and his gang.

Ivan and his wife were both members of the Russian Mafia, and they caused a lot of trouble to Polonsky's gang. Polonsky got really angry and upset, and in order to make them pay, he killed their son that was only 1 years old. Ivan and Natasha got really mad, and now it was time for Polonsky to pay for his cruelness.

They waited in the van outside his house, until they made sure that Polonski was asleep. They put on their masks and gloves and got ready. With their legs trembling and their heart like stone, they got out of the van and moved quietly outside Polonski's window. They knew that he was asleep by the sound of his snoring, which could be heard from miles away. They made sure they had all the weapons they needed.

Ivan and Natasha were standing petrified under Polonski's window, but at the same time, they both had a creepy feeling of happiness. They loaded their guns, took their pocketknives, and Ivan broke in first through the window! Polonski was alerted, and he immediately reach for his AK-47 that he had under his bed. Before Ivan got a chance to pull the trigger, Polonsky shot him on his left leg. He fell on the floor and started crying and screaming because he couldn't move his leg. Polonsky went there and pulled Ivan's mask, and he jumped back. He didn't expect to see that face again, and he was ready to get rid of him once and for all.

While Polonsky was ready to finish Ivan, Natasha jumped there too, and stubbed Polonsky on the back. As Polonsky hadn't noticed Natasha hiding outside, when he got stubbed, he didn't know where it came from, he just fell on the ground facing down and died.

Immediately, Natasha grabbed Ivan and helped him to rush out of the house. They got in their van and drove away feeling satisfied and justified after they took revenge for their son's death. Even though Ivan and Natasha never forgot their son, they moved to another country, and from that point on, they were living like an ordinary couple, and put an end to their dark previous life.

Romeo and Juliet Videos

Romeo and Juliet Flip book:

I think that this video is very unique and it is really good. The idea of putting many pictures together to tell the story was very good. The person who did this video surely dedicated a lot of time to create it. It is also really good because anyone who sees it will get the main idea of the story in just 4 minutes. Another factor that added a lot to the video was the music that he put on the background, so that it made it more interesting, reminded the period of time that was written, and showed the emotions behind the drawings.

Romeo and Juliet stop motion style:

This video focused only on the last scene from the play. It was really enjoyable and it put a lot of detail. I liked the way he used characters from games and movies to represent the people from the play. I also liked that he took lots of pictures to make it look slow motion and give more detail in the feelings. I believed that took hours of hard work to be done and lots of pictures and editing, and that's made it a good video.

Star wars Lego Romeo and Juliet:

This is also a really good video. I believe that it was a good idea to use the introduction just like the star wars movie, and it was funny the way they changed the words and made it similar to the original one. It explains all the scenes that it says and I found it really funny.

Romeo and Juliet puppet AL ASSHOLE cra.. :

This video is really bad. In comparison to the other ones, it sucks. The people who were doing it didn't take it seriously. You can hear them laughing the whole time and you can't really understand what they are saying. Also they didn't even say which character represents which, and the background was the same the whole time. Also you can see their hands moving the puppets, and they didn't put any music to make it more interesting, except the beautiful singing at the end!

Marios Andreou

Marios Andreou was born on the first of April in 1960, in Kyrenia, Cyprus. He was a quiet boy and a very good student until the age of 15, when a misfortune marked his life.
After an invasion in his country, in 1974 he became a refugee, and moved to Nicosia. Misery and problems within his family were the main reason for Marios to be entangled with a bad company which cause him an imprisonment for 6 months.
From that point on, his whole life changed: Cyprus was a very small country for him to be accepted in, and immigration to Australia was the best that could happen to him. He managed to study, to get a good job there and recently, he became mayor of the Cyprus community in Melbourne. He is also the founder of Rehabilitations for teenagers being guilty of crimes, to help young people avoid facing the same cruel and miserable conditions he had faced himself.

Early life

Childhood
Marios Andreou was born on the first of April 1960 in Kyrenia, Cyprus. His parents were: Yiannis Andreou and Maroulla Kyriakou Andreou. He was the first born child of the family, and his sister Eleni was born in 1966. It was a happy and wealthy family. Marios was very obedient as a child, and an excellent student who everybody admired.

Young refugee
Unfortunately, when he was 14 years old, he and his family had to abandon their own house and properties because of the Turkish invasion in Cyprus, and moved to Nicosia as refugees. It was difficult for everybody to adjust to the new life. Poverty and hunger were the main reasons for quarrels between his parents. Mr. Yiannis couldn’t find a proper job, and the costs were running! Marios was at a crucial age.

Teenage Years

Crime
Teenagers always need more attention and advice than any other time, but none of his parents had the strength to do so, not because they didn’t want to, but as other concerns were on their mind. Marios, as a newcomer to the city, didn’t know a lot of how to distinguish good and bad boys, who were supposed to be appropriate friends, and who weren’t.
Therefore, he unwittingly found himself entangled in a theft! It was a mishap when a night in August 1975, Marios was drinking beers with his friends, in the middle of the shopping area down town. All of a sudden, one of the boys threw an empty bottle at the window of a jewelery shop, and the rest did the same. Marios, too. They broke the glass door of the shop, and the alarm system went on. Neighbours rushed into the street and in less than two minutes, the police came. Everybody got arrested, no matter that Marios was the youngest-15 years-, while the other boys were older.

Life in Prison
Marios got imprisoned for 6 months. That experience was something he would never wish for anyone-even his worst enemy- to have to go through. Even though he was accused for burglary, he was a teenager, and he was put in prison with real criminals, murderers, drug-dealers, thieves, and many other wicked persons. He had been insulted and maltreated those 6 months in that place, as no institution for young persons who committed a crime existed to help youth rehabilitate, and realize the crime they committed.

Unaccepted To His Country
When the rough time passed, Marios was out of prison, but he was confined to his home. Everyone in the country knew his crime, and as Cyprus is a very small country, he knew he couldn’t live in embarrassment and in contempt for the rest of his life.

Immigration

Difficulties of adjustment to new life
Marios’s Uncle’s invitation from Australia immigrate there, saved Marios from all these problems. The first months in Melbourne, were very difficult: Marios had to adjust to a completely new environment, he had to learn the English language, and as he went penniless to Australia, he had to find a job. It was a struggle for him, but with his relative’s support, he managed to get a job as a waiter in a restaurant and later on in a hotel, while at the same time he was going to school.

Work and studies
Marios did never give up. He went as a sociology part-time student to a University, and at the same time he was working as an assistant to a clothing industry ‘’Alexander’’ in order to cover his cost of living, and pay for the University fees.

Private life

Marital Status
Even though Marios is a very respected young man, he is still single at the age of forty nine years.

Interests
He spends most of his free time visiting young people of divorced families and helping anyone who asks for advice. That helped him a lot to regain his self-esteem.

Nowadays

Recent achievements
He is a social worker, and he recently became mayor of the Cyprus community in Melbourne. He fulfilled his vision to do something about all the young people who make the mistake of committing a crime. He founded rehabilitation for teenagers being guilty of crimes, in order to prevent them of facing the wretched conditions in prison he had faced himself.

Future Plans

Marios believes that soon he will be able to establish a similar institution for young criminals in Cyprus.
